about the author
Christina grew up in a close-knit, Italian American family in Connecticut. She spent her entire childhood years there, living close to a very large extended family. Parties and holidays were celebrated often and with large gatherings. In her late teens she moved away from family, attending college at Syracuse University, later moving to NYC to start her fashion career, and eventually out to Los Angeles where she resides now. Her second book, cooking with italian roots, is inspired by her family in Connecticut, mainly her late grandmother who was the base of most of the recipes. The book takes you through some of the holidays that were celebrated in her family along with the Italian recipes that would be served at the dinner table. You will find personal memoir stories throughout the book, painting a picture for the reader to take part in her family celebrations.
